IoT & Hardware Integration

Hardware that reports somewhere useful.

A sensor that logs to a serial monitor is a prototype. We build the whole path — firmware, transport, storage, and the dashboard someone checks on a Monday morning.

01Detail

Where most IoT projects stall

The hardware usually works. What is missing is everything after it: reliable delivery when the network drops, somewhere to store months of readings, a way to tell a real fault from a loose wire, and an interface a non-engineer can read.

That gap is the actual work, and it is why IoT projects tend to stall between a working bench prototype and something a business can depend on.

What we build

Access control with logged entry and exit. Environmental and equipment monitoring with alert thresholds. Automation that responds to real conditions rather than a fixed timer. Live dashboards over WebSocket, with history you can query and export.

We work with ESP32 and ESP8266 boards, and with ESPHome and Home Assistant where an existing ecosystem is the sensible answer rather than custom firmware.

Built for the network you actually have

Devices buffer locally and resend when the connection returns, so a dropped link means delayed data rather than lost data. Anything that must keep working during an outage keeps working.

We would rather design for intermittent connectivity from the start than discover it in production, because the failure mode of the alternative is silent and you find out weeks later.

02Common questions

Before you ask.

Do you supply the hardware or just the software?

Either. We can specify and source boards, sensors and enclosures, or work with hardware you already have. If you have an installer already, we will write the firmware and the platform and coordinate with them.

What happens when the internet goes down?

Devices keep running and buffer their readings locally, then resend once the connection is back. Anything safety-relevant or operationally critical is designed to work without the network at all — the cloud side should improve a system, not be a single point of failure.

Can this connect to software we already use?

Usually. If your existing system has an API, we integrate with it. If it does not, we can often work with a database export or a scheduled sync. We will tell you during scoping which of those you are dealing with.

How many devices can it handle?

The architecture we use comfortably handles hundreds of devices reporting on a regular interval. If you are planning for thousands, that changes some decisions about transport and storage, so tell us early and we will design for it.
